Returns & Cancellation Policy

If for whatever reason you change your mind on your online purchase and would like to return your order after delivery, we’re happy to refund or exchange your purchase as long as it’s unopened and in its original packaging. This option is available for 14 days after delivery.

Following the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations, we will accept items back even if you have opened the goods to inspect them. You are entitled to a refund as long as you notify us by email of your intention to cancel within 14 calendar days from the day after delivery.

The goods must be in new condition and returned in the original, undamaged packaging, along with any accessories and free gifts received with them.

You may examine products as you would in a shop but you must not have used or assembled or installed them. Whilst the goods are in your possession you must take reasonable care of them.

Due to their intimate nature, all mattresses will be delivered sealed in clear plastic wrapping that will allow for inspection. Any mattresses that have been unsealed will be deemed as having been used. Therefore they cannot be returned.

Beds that have been made to order cannot be returned as these items have been made exactly to your specifications. When purchases are made in store We reserve the right to charge a 20% restocking fee where goods are returned as a result of either change of mind or as a result of items not fitting into intended space/area.

If you would like to return your items to us you must first notify us by email info@bedwise.ie quoting your order number along with your reason for cancelling the order. Once the items are brought back to our warehouse, they will be inspected to ensure the company returns policy has been adhered too.

Once we have received the goods back from you, we will give you a refund for the cost of the product minus any delivery charges paid. We may make a deduction from the refund for any loss in value of the goods if the loss is a result of unnecessary handling by you. It is the customers responsibility to ensure that purchased items can be delivered to a specific room.  We cannot accept and responsibility in this regard and any items that do not or cannot be delivered due to size and/or access will incur a 20% restocking charge and balance will be issued as a credit note.  In the case of a refund being approved, it will be net of our restocking fee.

How do I cancel an order before delivery?
Should you wish to cancel your order before it is dispatched for delivery it is vital that you inform us of your decision ASAP! Please email us at info@Bedwise.ie, live chat or phone us and we will arrange.

What happens if my product arrives damaged?
Although we take every care to ensure your product arrives to you in pristine condition, on rare occasions a product may get damaged in transit. If you do receive a damaged product, you must contact us within 48 hours by emailing info@Bedwise.ie, live chat or phone us and we will arrange a replacement part. Any damage of parts during assembly will incur fee to replace.
We do ask that you:
• Do not assemble or use product.
• Inform us within 48 hours.
Please note that we may ask to inspect the goods to confirm the fault or ask you to carry out a telephone diagnostic to make sure it is not a problem that can be resolved quickly.

Please note: inspect all parts for damage before you assemble as we cannot replace or refund a product once assembly has commenced

Refunds
Following cancellation of your order any monies paid will be refunded by us within 3-5 working days.

“Standard Free Delivery” – This service is available within 30km of our showroom on all orders over €275 and includes a one man ground floor delivery.

“Premium Delivery” – This service is available for a fee of €50. Our “Premium Delivery” is a 2 man delivery service with assembly in the room of your choice along with removal of all rubbish/packaging & includes the environmentally responsible disposal of your old mattress & bed

Mattresses & beds must be clean/dry and not left outdoors

Delivery overview

Do you offer delivery outside of Cork?

As of now, we only offer delivery to Cork city and County but keep an eye out as that may change soon!

How much does your delivery cost?

What is the delivery process like ?

For large products your driver will contact you 24 to 72 hours in advance on the telephone number or email provided to advise of 2hr timeframe when they will be in the area. This will be during normal business hours. If you will not be at home to accept your delivery you may simply arrange for another adult to accept the delivery on your behalf or depending on the product we can deliver to neighbour or address close by. Your appointed person must be available at the address to carefully check the product and acknowledge receipt of your items. If nobody is available to receive the items for an attempted delivery during the agreed time & date all goods will be returned to the warehouse and a re-delivery charge will apply.

When can I expect my order to be delivered?

We aim to deliver within 3-5 working days of your order granted the item you have ordered is in stock at our warehouse. We do try to hold as much stock as possible in our separate warehouse facility, however a lot of our beds and mattresses are custom made to order. Understandably in this scenario our sales assistant will make you aware of the lead time for your items. Alternatively if you are making your purchase online the estimated lead time will be stated in the product information, when ordering multiple items online you should use the item with the longest estimated lead time for a guide as we will be delivering all your items at once. If it is still unclear how long you will have to wait to receive your product please do not hesitate to contact us so we can answer all your questions.

Can I track my order?

Yes, from time to time we will use a third party logistics team for some of our smaller items. If this is the case you will be sent a tracking number to the email provided.

What happens if I miss my order?

Don’t worry! Provided you keep the line of communicated open with us this should never happen. However if it does, under no circumstances can our drivers leave items without someone present for receipt of goods. All drivers are instructed to never leave items unattended in a “Safe place” for example a side alley, shed, back garden or porch. If no one is home this will be declared a unsuccessful delivery attempt & Instead we will return all items to our warehouse to be dispatched on a new agreed date & a re-delivery fee will apply.

Do you provide an installation and assembly service?

Yes this is included if you opted in for our premium delivery service.

Do you take away my old mattress & bed?

Yes this is also included in our premium delivery service, but please be aware we will not be able to remove more items than you have purchased. For example if you have only purchased 1 mattress from Bedwise.ie we can not provide a disposal service for 3 mattresses. Also drivers will not under any circumstances remove any mattresses or beds that have been left outside or are deemed as wet or dirty.

Do I need to prepare anything for my delivery?

Here is a few tips to help avoid any disappointment or unnecessary additional costs,

Make sure well in advance that all bedding/furniture fits in its intended room by paying attention to the dimensions & measurements provided, don’t just assume a 5FT bedframe is 5FT wide if you can see the item is a particular shape and style. This step is vitally important as We cannot accept and responsibility in this regard and any items that do not or cannot be delivered due to size and/or access will incur a 20% restocking charge and balance will be issued as a credit note.  In the case of a refund being approved, it will be net of our restocking fee.

Please check all required property access routes and that there is sufficient access and parking for a large delivery truck to safely reach the delivery address

Don’t forget any lifts or elevators, stairwells, passages, corridors and landings that your product must pass through. For example some 6FT mattresses might not get up a stairs if it doesn’t have the sufficient height clearance.

Please be aware that the delivery team will not attempt delivery if there are health and safety issues or where damage to your home may result and they will not remove doors and/or windows. However if you have opted in to our assembly service they may agree to remove items from packaging if it will help in getting your items through a tight space.
